  • SHOVELs:    It’s September 29th , episode 9. This is a Father and Son Podcast where we attempt to dig into the News, Pop Culture and Sports. We’re not going into great detail and we have no idea what we’re talking about.  This is our weekly excuse to hang out and just BS.

  • ISRAEL – Iranian Netanyahu assassination plot foiled, Israeli man charged.  Source:  Anders Hagstrom Fox News
  • Moti Maman, 73, (Israeli businessman)  told authorities he had a “lapse of judgment” and is now cooperating with law enforcement. Israeli police arrested Maman in August, saying he had twice visited Iran to meet with intelligence officials who gave him various tasks to conduct in Israel.
  • During his latest trip to Iran in August, Israeli authorities say Iranian intelligence proposed assassination plots against Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Shin Bet head Ronen Bar.
  • Authorities say Maman demanded a $1 million advance payment in exchange for his participation, but Iran paid him only 5,000 Euros.

    • Israel puts explosives inside Hezbollah pagers and walkie talkies and explodes them
      • The pager explosion happens on Tuesday 09/17
        • 2800 injured, 12 killed among them two children (8 and 11)
        • Mossad supposedly implanted explosives in 5000 pager which were imported from Tiawan.
        • Hezbollah uses pagers because phones are compromised. Israel can get into them and intercept communications.
      • In a second round of attacks thousands of walk-talkies (and some other devices, the report said “solar devices”) were exploded
        • 450 injured, 14 killed
        • The first explosions in the second attack occurred at a funeral for some of the people killed the day before.
      • Israel says they still have some other capabilities that have yet to be activated
      • They’re trying to instill a sense of fear as a weapon of deterrence
    • ???MAYBE USE??? On Wednesday, China’s foreign ministry announced sanctions on nine US military-linked companies over arms sales to Taiwan. Beijing considers the self-ruled island its breakaway province. The affected military contractors for the Pentagon are Sierra Nevada Corporation, Stick Rudder Enterprises LLC, Cubic Corporation, S3 AeroDefense, TCOM, TextOre, Planate Management Group, ACT1 Federal, and Exovera.
    • ???MAYBE USE??? The UK Government has confirmed that, from Oct. 1, 2025, unhealthy food television advertisements before 9 pm and all online paid-for advertising will be banned. The policies were part of Labour’s 2024 election manifesto and are claimed by the government to be an attempt to address childhood obesity rates.

  • U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy says the USPS is ready to deliver mail-in ballots this election season and the effort is “all hands on deck” for the Postal Service.

    • The 78-year-old company empowered women to enter the sales business. Filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after years of falling popularity and financial troubles. 
  • Tupperware has historically sold to consumers only through so-called direct sales, most commonly at “Tupperware parties,” similar to cosmetic company Avon’s business model, and only began selling in Target in 2022. The 78-year-old company empowered women to enter the sales business.

  • The center of Helene, which has been downgraded to a tropical depression, was located about 125 miles southeast of Lewisville, Kentucky, as of 2 p.m. EDT on Friday, the National Hurricane Center said, with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph.
  • Heavy rain is falling over portions of the central and southern Appalachians and the region can expect total rain accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, with isolated totals around 20 inches.
  • Flash flood emergencies are in effect for Atlanta, much of upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina, including the Raleigh and Fayetteville, North Carolina, areas.
  • Tornadoes are possible Friday through parts of eastern Georgia, the Carolinas and southern Virginia.
  • Mandatory evacuations have been ordered in Asheville and McDowell counties in North Carolina as rivers and reservoirs are expected to swell from heavy rainfall, and multiple schools in Kentucky and Indiana are closed Friday as winds and heavy rain pelt the region.

One play later alabama scores a touchdown and converts the two point conversion. Georgia gets the ball down the field with an opportunity to win with less than minute left only to have it intercepted in the endzone.

    • New orleans and tampa bay drop off after losing to philadelphia and the broncos.
    • Big game this week with falcons and saints. Kamara and olave are banged up
    • Vikings look like they might be the best team in the nfl. They have beat two of the best teams in san fran and houston
    • Kansas city pulls out another win. They have injuries too including their starting running back panchenko is out with fibula break.
